The Biden administration is now linking vaccine dissenters to “the possibility of committing acts of violence” in order to investigate them as “potential terrorists,” according to a new terrorism advisory by the Department of Homeland Security issued on February 7 that expires on June 7.
The DHS’s “National Terrorism Advisory System Bulletin,” warns that the United States remains in a “heightened threat environment fueled by an online environment filled with false or misleading narratives and conspiracy theories, and other forms of mis- dis- and mal-information (MDM) introduced and/or amplified by foreign and domestic threat actors.”
According to the advisory, these threat actors seek “to exacerbate societal friction to sow discord and undermine public trust in government institutions to encourage unrest, which could potentially inspire acts of violence.”
Lastly, the advisory warns that foreign terrorist organizations may make calls “for attacks on the United States based on recent events.”
Surgeon General Set Stage
Seven months before Biden’s DHS released its advisory, his Surgeon General, Vivek H. Murthy, released a 22-page report on July 15, 2021, to counter “misinformation” and to control the narrative on COVID-19.
Murthy’s report, “Confronting Health Misinformation: The U.S. Surgeon General’s Advisory on Building a Healthy Information Environment,” attempts to teach Americans how to identify “misinformation,” and gives examples of what we can do to stop it.
“Misinformation,” according to Murthy’s report, differs from “disinformation,” which is intended to “trick people into believing something for financial gain or political advantage.” Health “misinformation,” however, reduces the “willingness of people to seek effective treatment.”
The report then gives examples of “misinformation tactics used by those who deny scientific consensus on health issues.” Some of these tactics named by the report include “presenting unqualified people as experts; misleading consumers with logical fallacies; setting impossible expectations for scientific research; cherry-picking data or anecdotes; and introducing conspiracy theories.”
Government as Instigator?
The federal government is fine-tuning its tools for censuring dissent, says Marilyn M. Singleton, M.D., J.D., a board-certified anesthesiologist and member of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS).
“Interestingly, the government comes out with a global policy months after the surgeon general comes out with his report,” Singleton said. “I’m assuming the Surgeon General’s report didn’t hit hard enough or scare enough people. And now we have the government’s global policy, with now an acronym, ‘MDM,’ mis, dis, and mal information.”
And when you look at the government’s definitions, that it is something done to create societal friction and undermine public trust in the government, says Singleton.
“Well as far as I’m concerned, their misinformation is more than ours,” she said. “Look at what the government has done to mislead, calling COVID an emergency two years later. It’s not an emergency anymore. It is not unexpected. It doesn’t need immediate action anymore yet they are continually calling it an emergency just so they can keep these police powers in force.”
Dueling Versions of “the Truth”
We are in the Age of Doublethink, says Twila Brase, R.N., the president and co-founder of Citizens’ Council for Health Freedom.
“There is no such thing as ‘misinformation,’ and there are no crimes or laws against ‘misinformation,” said Brase. “America was founded on freedom of speech, whether anyone likes that speech or believes that speech, or thinks that speech misinformed.”
“The Biden administration is pursuing thought crimes,” she said. “Homeland Security officials want to shut down citizen speech that doesn’t fit their narrative. They want to unleash the government forces against law-abiding people who disagree with the Biden administration’s version of ‘truth.’”
In fact, what’s happening is “disinformation,” and it’s coming out of the Biden administration, she said. Disinformation is purposely propagated against citizens with the intent to deceive and manipulate.
“The Biden administration should be pointing their fingers at themselves, not the law-abiding citizens that have the right to speak freely without being deemed a criminal or a terrorist,” she said. “The only terrorist in the room, given this national terrorism advisory, is the Biden administration itself.”
